Four years ago I needed something to fill my time other than watching my ankles swell up to the size of thighs while I was eight months pregnant in the hottest summer possible here in Minnesota. I was young, naive, and oh so lazy. I stumbled across two blogs and my addiction grew from there. I read countless blogs on pregnancies and births. I loved having that knowledge at my finger tips and loved reading about other people's lives even more. Labor Day (how funny) of 2012 I welcomed sweet little Elliot and my life felt like it now had an actual meaning to it. Long story short... which I'm sure I'll elaborate on more down the road, I became a healthier and happier version of myself. So much has changed in the last four years. What I look back on most though is how little I remember from Elliot's younger years. I have the pictures because I am
obsessed an active instagram/facebook picture poster, but I don't remember much of the details. So as I'm reading these blogs, I can't help but think of all these memories they can easily look back on. So here I am, almost four years with Elliot and over a year with Dixie and I think I might give this blogging a little bit of a go. I've been known to talk a bit, so this should be right up my alley.
Here are some quick tidbits about me :
- Family comes first. I am extremely close to my parents and two older sisters.
- Being a momma was my life calling.
- I was born in Iowa, lived in Arizona, but grew up in Minnesota and wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
- I have a degree in Agricultural Finance and could do math for fun
- My husband often refers to me as a yuppie (duck dynasty)
- Every year I surprise him more and more by being just a little more outdoorsy and small town
- There is nothing I love more than a Sunday spent shnuggled on the couch in front of the fireplace watching football.
- I try to be fashionable, just to change into sweatpants the moment I get home
- I do really well working out/eating for a month then do bad for two
- As you can see from my blog picture, I'm a wanna be red head, I just keep getting told I'm better off as my natural blonde.
I do think that is enough rambling for now, but I can't wait to see what this blog turns into, and if it ends up with no readers but a focal point of memories to look back on my heart will be full.
