Opening Ceremony! Ummm those outfits?! LOVED them! I love everything about the Olympics and love that immense patriotic feeling you feel during the Olympics!

Did anyone watch this on Wednesday? They had some great artist on there! Not to mention I have quite the crush on Thomas Rhett! If you ever get the chance to see him in concert do it! He puts on an amazing show!

Can we count an opposite in Friday Favorites? You know what isn't my favorite? Blogging from a phone. I tried a couple different times to blog on Friday but I couldn't find a decent app and my browser was so tedious! Any suggestions?!
Weekend Recap!
Wednesday I was down at an Ag show then Wednesday night through Sunday morning I was in Iowa for a little Corn Days celebration! I seriously LOVE family time. I am so close to my family and I love the chaos it brings and I also love how appreciative you are of the calm and quiet once you get home :)
Friday night we played five crowns, its a card game have you ever played? It's my favorite! Probably should of listed it above huh? Then we headed down to watch the towns fireworks. Now they started this last year. Let me tell you, this town of 400 people puts on the best fireworks display I have EVER seen. I found a picture of one of their shows online!
Saturday we had a full day. We had the town parade which is agonizing so fun when the sirens are blaring for your one year old. Then we all go to the center of town for some games and to eat some corn, ice cream, and watermelon. Now I'm not lying when I say they take the ear of sweet corn, dunk it in a big bowl of melted butter, and then you use a morton salt to sake salt on the cob. I mean literal heart burn and heart attack right there, but it is once a year and it is soooo good. Here is a little throwback to 2007 of my cousin and I with our corn (yes I was telling the truth)
After we devoured a little bit of corn with our butter we played in the corn hole (bean bags) tournament. Now apparently people play these all summer long going from town to town to pay for their beer livelihood. After the first game Jason and I realized we were way out of our league, but we had a really good time playing. That afternoon we had a surprise bridal shower for our cousin's fiance and started in on the wine a little too early. It was an early night by all and we took off early Sunday morning. Much to my luck I was able to nag and beg my husband to hit up costco on the way home since our closest one is two hours away. The rest of Sunday was spent unpacking, doing laundry, and blanching seven helpings of fresh green beans from the garden. We watched a little gymnastics and swimming (my favorite Olympics!) and hit the hay. Here are a couple other pictures from the weekend!
Elliot's pony killed me!
We had the whole family there so we got a group shot! Love my family
They just don't make them any cuter :)
