Friday Favorites {Remember Me}

I took a little break from blogging. Well lets be honest, I blogged for two weeks then stopped, so did I even really start? Ha! But I decided I wanted to give this another shot and also have a place to look back on some memories. Well I got a nudge from a friend and decided now is a better time than any! So lets start with Favorites!

I started back on working out and tracking macros about 5 weeks ago. Little back story here on my fitness journey. I've never been super heavy, but I was never really fit. Enter 3 years ago and I decided to tone up a little. I was a ROCKSTAR. I did a great job I looked and felt fantastic, and had the best motivation from my best friend who was getting married in the end of August. Then I got pregnant with Dixie and you would think I would back off, but I didn't, I continued to work out and eat right. At the end of my pregnancy with Dixie I was still running 5ks (slowly) and ended up 20 lbs lighter than when I delivered with my first pregnancy. Needless to say I've been the same size two weeks postpartum for the last year and a half. It's not a bad size because I did so great my whole pregnancy, but it is definitely off of my best. Somehow after I had Dixie I just lost all my motivation. Which people would always say you have two kids you have a newborn cut yourself some slack. Lets just note that Dixie was and has been the best child of all time, never ever fussy. So it wasn't an excuse. But here I am back on the saddle (that's what they say right?!?!) and more motivated than ever. I've worked out at least 5 times a week for the last five weeks and I've been counting my macros. For those of you that are looking for a good start to helping you eat better look into counting macros. Seriously so much freedom in it! I never feel deprived! So back to where I started with this extremely long winded paragraph, my first favorite, workout clothes! I work out in my house so its not like I need to look cute, but I love me some workout clothing, especially items I can wear not working out. I snatched myself these pants yesterday at old navy and I'm SO jacked about them! They are sold out online but walk  run to your store and get them! So comfy, so cute, so edgy!

That nudge I got from a friend to start blogging again, yeah she just started back up too! I used to LOVE reading her blog and had followed her on Instagram, well when she stopped blogging we still followed each other on Instagram. You should really go over and read her blog here. Jenna is hilarious, super awesome at fashion, and her body will motivate you like NONE other!

Speaking of Jenna, she introduced me to one fantastic recipe! I might do over snap and talk about food a ton. Well I was just bragging about my husbands awesome smoked pulled pork I was eating (at 9 am... don't judge) and she told me to put it on top of a baked sweet potato. Little bit of honey or BBQ sauce if that is your jam. Well I did that night and WOW! So so so good. Next time you have pulled pork and have left overs, definitely get yourself a sweet potato too!

Winter time.... I used to hate it. I mean, I was lazy, binge watched tv, and kept my sweet Elliot cooped up. Well the times have a changed! I figured if I loved Minnesota as much as I do (which I do) I needed to embrace winter. That I have done. We go hiking in the snow, we go sledding, we go ice fishing, and we pull sleds behind ATV's like hicks. Here are a couple pictures from the winter fun so far!

We head down to Florida soon to visit my parents and I cannot wait to get some warm sunshine on my skin! We have some big plans to do Magic Kingdom, but more than anything I am pretty excited that I'll probably convince my parents to watch the girls so the Hubby and I can day drink and golf! CANNOT WAIT! Here is a little throw back to our last Florida trip :)
